Last week the addictive mirror-ball cheese-fest, Dancing with the Stars, said goodbye to 90210 star Shannen Doherty. Apparently Shannen’s past shenanigans or Brenda Walsh’s bitchiness did her in because she was not worse than the hateful Kate Gosselin or that astronaut guy.
(And why was Pamela in the bottom 2, stupid America?!) So, who’s in danger this week? Let’s take a look at week 3′s dances where our couples were challenged with attempting to “create a story” with each dance, and you know, not fall on their faces . They couldn’t rely on props or gimmicks, but instead brought the drama…
Evan/Anna: Giving us a fun, energetic and accomplished Quickstep about a married couple in a spat, the Olympic medalist continued his hot streak as one of the frontrunners. My only complaint? Their chemistry is so, ahem, brother/sister and not husband/wife if you know what I mean. Judges scores~ Carrie: 9, Len: 8, Bruno: 9
Buzz/Ashly: Tackling a waltz about a war hero being welcomed home by his daughter, Buzz and Ashly again played to the patriotic sympathy vote and his likability factor in an effort to disguise his horrible dancing. He was kind of just dance walking very stiffly with the rhythm a moon rock. But will it matter when it comes to the voting? Probably not. The judges weren’t too keen on him either. Scores~ Carrie: 5, Len: 4, Bruno: 4
Jake/Chelsie: The hot and super sensitive Bachelor and the SYTYCD all star performed a Mummy/Cleopatra themed quickstep to the Bangles “Walk Like an Egyptian.” It was goofy and bouncy and perhaps Jake’s best dance yet. However, he needs to work on his acting if he wants to keep his tv career going. He also had some bent leg issues according to Len, but at least, Bruno was all hot and bothered by it in a good way. Scores~ Carrie: 7, Len: 7, Bruno: 7
Louis/ Niecy: my favorite competitor was up next as the hilarious Niecy and Louis took on a socially relevant waltz about an interracial romance and discrimination in the 60′s. The beautiful performance brought the drama and tears to the fight for love for everyone. Both Niecy and Louis were very emotional as they feel everyone has the right to marry and it poured out in their dance. For out and proud Louis, he is fighting for gay marriage and hopefully, this dance will open a few people’s eyes to the fact that everyone deserves the right to marriage regardless of race or sexual orientation. The judges were impressed with the concept but wanted better technique. Bruno loved their performance despite a few small missteps in the choreography. Len called it brave and Carrie Ann loved that it’s an emotional important story to tell. Scores~ Carrie: 7 , Len: 7, Bruno: 7
Chad/Cheryl: the arrogant twins bust out with a fiery paso doble that was big on passion but small on dancing. Chad is totally awkward and in his head when he dances. He was like a big stoic angry skyscraper. He’s gonna be a mess if he has to move his hips in the future. Judges were happy with his improvement but still think he needs work. I’d say he needs a lot of work. Scores~ Carrie: 7, Len: 6, Bruno: 7
Pamela/Damian: playing a gypsy in a love/hate relationship with a matador, Pamela and Damian delivered a sexy and focused paso doble that should keep her out of the bottom 2 this week. The judges loved the anger and intensity, but want more accomplished steps. Scores~ Carrie: 7, Len: 7, Bruno: 7
Aiden/Edyta: In a quickstep about an artist whose painting comes to life, Aiden did much better than I thought he would. He’s still awkward and reminds me of a kid at a high school cotillion except that he’s really hot. Yet, he continues to improve and actually looks like he’s having fun now. Len wanted him to “let go” more and Bruno thought it was “skippy” and we all know he is an expert in “skippy”. Carrie Ann appreciated his confidence but thought he was a little too light on his feet. Scores~ Carrie: 7, Len:6 , Bruno: 7
Erin/Maks: Limbs McGillicuty and Maks gave us a waltz full of blind ambition as Erin did the majority of the dance blindfolded and I think she may have been the better for it. Her strange facial expressions always take me out of their performances. It’s as if she smelled some stanky cheese with each turn. Carrie Ann and Bruno want to see her move forward as she has great potential, but want her to work on finishing her moves and trusting her partner. Len was a bit underwhelmed. Scores~ Carrie: 8, Len: 7, Bruno: 8
Kate/Tony: in a dance that had art imitating life, Kate and Tony took on the paparazzi with their paso doble. This season’s worst and most hated dancer was pretty much awful in an uncomfortable and painful to watch performance that was just as bad as the previous weeks. America please put me out of my misery and eliminate the uber-beotch now! Carrie Ann put it kindly calling it “odd” while Len thought is was “pedestrian”. Bruno at least liked that she played a character, the super bitch from hell. Hello, that’s not acting Bruno! Scores~ Carrie: 5, Len: 5 , Bruno: 5
Nicole/Derek: the girl who might as well be given the crown already was up next as Nicole and her partner Derek performed a quickstep about two sailors slacking off. This precise and fun number was full of musical theatre goodness and cracker jack energy. The judges all enjoyed the performance aspects but were disappointed with the technical parts and the fact that they broke the hold and did a lift. Scores~ Carrie: 8, Len: 6, Bruno: 9

And before I go… Some Final Dancing Dittys….
How about Evan dancing on broken toes and butching it up a bit… Can you believe Dancing with the Stars beat American Idol in the ratings last week? … Don’t you just want to scream CARRIE ANN INABA everytime she comes on screen? Or is that just me? … Did they really just show the hot Brit soap star barfing? … Who else wants a sitcom with Charo and Pamela Anderson and their dancing maracas?… Will Buzz actually be in the bottom 2? And will hateful Kate get the boot? Tell me about it below.

There’s something very rotten here when Buzz and Kate stay. Kate can’t dance her way out of a paper bag and Buzz looks like he’s been embalmed and I’m sick and tired of him trading on his patriotism. Blah!
