Is Emma Stone the heir to Lindsay Lohan’s throne? Well, they are both talented, beautiful and funny redheads and Emma is certainly on the fast track to movie stardom. With her new film, Easy A, she looks to take up the mantel that Mean Girls star Lohan once owned as the “It” girl for young Hollywood comedy. Let’s just hope Stone doesn’t follow Lohan’s career or personal path after that (ahem, jail, rehab, messy mcmessertein…). I doubt Stone will. She seems very grounded and has built up quite an impressive career thus far with memorable parts in The House Bunny, Zombieland, and Superbad. I even appeared with her in The New Partridge Family show where she got her humble beginning after winning the role of “Laurie” from reality show that accompanied it. Stone also has a ton of high-profile projects coming up including Friends with Benefits with Justin Timberlake and the adaptation of the acclaimed novel The Help. But first out of the gate is the promising new comedy Easy A where Stone plays good girl high school student who lets out a little white lie about losing her virginity which quickly escalates into her being the new school tramp. It’s a bit of a modern-day comedic take on The Scarlet Letter and costars Emmy winner Lisa Kudrow (Friends), Cam Gigandet, (Twilight), Amanda Bynes (Hairspray), Dan Byrd (Cougar Town), Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl) and Oscar nominees Patricia Clarkson (Pieces of April), Thomas Haden Church (Sideways) and Stanley Tucci (The Lovely Bones). Take a look at the trailer below and get ready to see Emma Stone emerge as a big star in Hollywood.
