I think they rarely get a pat on the back, but today I am congratulating the critics. You see, they announced their nominations for the first annual Critic’s Choice TV Awards and their choices are pretty fantastic. Along with the worthy Emmy winners like Mad Men and Modern Family (which led with 6 nominations), several unheralded but fantastic shows and actors reaped nominations including Justified, Fringe (plus stars John Noble and Anna Torv), Rupaul’s Drag Race, and Parks and Recreation. Plus how wonderful is it to finally see Courteney Cox and Busy Phillips from Cougar Town grab nominations. Other actors I was thrilled to see on the list include Martha Plimpton (Raising Hope), Michelle Forbes & Mirielle Enos (The Killing), Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy), Shawn Hatosy (Southland), and Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation )…. Of course, there were still some very deserving people who didn’t make the cut like Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter), Sara Ramirez (Grey’s Anatomy), Kadee Strickland (Private Practice), Laura Linney (The Big C) Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) and the big shocking ommisions~ Chris Colfer (Glee) and Betty White (Hot in Cleveland). But, hey, at least those last two will definitely hear their names on Emmy nomination day next month… In the meantime, take a look at the list below for the show that will be hosted by the awesome and nominated Cat Deeley (So You Think You Can Dance) that will be given out on the June 20th and air on Reelz channel on June 22nd.
