Every year, the Kennedy Center Honors pays tribute to artists who have made a big impact with their work over the years. The audience is filled with former winners, tons of celebrities and the President and the First Lady. This year’s honorees included musicians YoYo Ma, Sonny Rollins and Neil Diamond, plus musical theatre legend Barbara Cook and the one and only Meryl Streep. I’ve got the highlights for you below.
Take a look at the great tribute to two-time Oscar winner and soon to be 17 time Oscar nominee (hello, she better win for The Iron Lady!) Meryl Streep. It features her friends, former costars and directors like Stanley Tucci, Kevin Kline, Tracy Ullman, Robert DeNiro, Emily Blunt, Mike Nichols and a brilliant Anne Hathaway.
And here’s the amazing tribute to Barbara Cook featuring a slew of Broadway divas including Tony winners Sutton Foster, Patti LuPone, Glenn Close and Audra MacDonald.
