Sorry for the delay on my post about the biggest hits in music this week, but I’ve been dealing with some “real” work stuff as my short comedy Dirty Talkcontinues across the festival circuit. You saw P!nk‘s long running hit album hanging on for another week in the top ten above, and a big reason why is the third top ten smash from the album “Just Give Me A Reason” featuring Nate Ruess which holds on to the top spot of the Hot 100 Singles Chart for a third week. She fends off a strong charge by Macklmore & Ryan Lewis and will have to face some new competition by Swedish dance duo Icona Pop who charge into the top ten with their fist top ten hit “I Love It”. Pop powerhouse P!nk and punk poppers Paramore make it ladies week on the BillboardCharts as they top the Hot 100 and Billboard 200 Album tallies. Other top ten debuts this week come from Eric Church, Tyga, rockers Volbeat and Stone Sour. Falling down to # 3 after three weeks on top is Justin Timberlake with The 20/20 Experience, but he can take solace on the singles chart as “Mirrors” hits # 7 giving him two top ten singles from the disc. P!nk previously hit the top with “So What”, “Raise Your Glass” and “Lady Marmalade” with Christina Aguilera, Mya and Lil Kim. While this is only her 4th overall # 1, P!nk has had over ten # 1 Pop hits and Adult Pop hits… P!nk boots out Bruno Mars but will have to fend off some newcomers to the top-tier as the aforementioned Timberlake flies up to # 7 with hist twelfth top ten hit “Mirrors” just behind his other hit “Suit & Tie” and Demi Lovato‘s “Heart Attack” which charges into the top ten at # 10… For more on all the charts, head to Billboard here and check out the new top ten below.

And here’s the # 1 song in the nation, P!nk’s & Nate Reuss with “Just Give Me a Reason” which I am currently predicting will nab 3 Grammy nominations next year including Record and Song of the Year.
Justin Timberlake continues his banner year in 2013 with a second week atop the Billboard200 album chart with The 20/20 Experience. The Grammy winners sold another 318,000 copies last week to bring his two-week total to 1.29 million making it the only album to top a million units this year. I think Timberlake will be a big Grammy contender for this record next year not to mention I’m sure he’ll grab another Emmy nomination for his recent Saturday Night Live hosting gig… He also holds off a barrage of debuts from Lil Wayne, Blake Shelton, OneRepublic, Alan Jackson, Depeche Mode and The Strokes. Take a look at where all the albums landed below and head to Billboard for more on the charts here.

Grammy winner Justin Timberlake makes a huge impression with his third album as The 20/20 Experienceoverperformed even the most optimistic projects with 968,000 copies sold to land him his second # 1 album on the Billboardcharts. That’s the biggest debut of 2013, Justin’s best-selling week ever and the biggest debut since Taylor Swift’s Red. With 452,000 of those units sold digitally, it was also the 3rd biggest digital debut in history following Swift and Lady Gaga. Not only is he killing it on the album charts, but JT’s latest single “Mirrors” flies up to a new peak of # 13 while his first single from the album, “Suit & Tie” also grabs a new peak of # 3…. But Timberlake was not the only debuting artist this week as Nashville Star vet Kasey Musgraves starts big at # 2 with Same Trailer Different Park while Imagine Dragons, P!nk and the Les Miserablessoundtrack returns to the upper frame. For more on all of the album charts, head to Bilboard here and check out the new top ten below.

80′s rock icons Bon Jovi just don’t know how to quit. This fantastic band lands their 5th # 1 album on the Billboard 200 Chart with their new release, What About Now, which got an added boost from their appearance on last week’s American Idol. The group hold off a bunch of new releases from Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Mindless Behavior and David Bowie who grabs his highest charting album (EVER!) with his new one The Next Day which debuts in the runner-up spot. Bowie previously peaked at # 3 with Station to Station in 1976…. For more on these new albums and the full album chart, head to Billboard here. Take a look at the new top ten below.

The “B” boys are at the top of the BillboardCharts this week as Baauer and Bruno Mars lead the Hot 100 Singles and Top 200 Albums Lists with “Harlem Shake” and Unorthodox Jukebox. For the viral phenom Baauer, that makes three weeks on top while Bruno hits the top for the first time in his career as his second album ascends from # 2 to # 1 after 12 weeks in release. Mars holds off debuts from two groups I’ve never heard of called Atoms for Peace and Hilsong United (does that mean I’m getting old?) while getting a boost from cheaper pricing at Amazon. Take a look at the new top ten which also features a return from Adele below.

For more on that and Billboard’s chart methodology, head here. And to honor Adele’s return to the Top Ten, please enjoy one of my favorites from 21. This is “One and Only” (live from the Royal Albert Hall concert)
Bruno Mars could be the Adele of 2013 as the artist who utterly dominates a year like the British Grammy winner Adele did in both 2011 and 2012. He already spent 6 weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with “Locked Out of Heaven”, and now his new single “When I Was Your Man” is close to hitting the top as well. This week “Man” leaps up from #8 to # 3 while “Heaven” is still hanging strong at # 9. Mars second album which features both songs, Unorthodox Jukebox, also revisits its peak position at # 2 this week and should hit the top next week. Keeping him from the summit are Mumford & Sons still basking in the afterglow of their Grammy victories…. Take a look at both the Billboard 200 Albums Chart and the Hot 100 Singles chart below. (And PS~ yes, Baauer‘s “Harlem Shake” crap phenomenon still rules the latter chart since Billboard bastardized the chart by adding in youtube views which is absolutely ludicrous and is no true value of a song’s popularity. I mean, what’s next? “A Doggie Flushes the Toilet” video hitting the top ten? Argh).
Top Ten Albums on the Hot 100:

9. “Locked Out of Heaven”- Bruno Mars (lw~ 7)
10. “Love Me”- Lil Wayne w/ Drake & Future (lw~ 19)
And here’s the brand new video for Mars’ “When I Was Your Man”
“Popera” crooner and a former Grammy nominee Josh Groban grabbed his third # 1 album this week as his fifth release, All That Echoes, debuted on top with 145,000 copies on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. That easily held off new releases from Tim McGraw, rock bands Red and Coheed & Cambria and the latest Now! compilation. Watch for a big shake up next week with the Grammy Awards causing a lot of albums to get big boosts like Album of the Year winners Mumford & Sons who already climb back up four notches. For now, check out the new top ten below.
