Shameless Self Promotion~ Catch Me on “The New Normal” on Tuesday!

January 22, 2013

the-new-normal-utah-new-home__oPtHey readers, it’s time for some more shameless self promotion… I’ve been busy lately doing some parts on Guys with Kids (to air January 30th on NBC) and Days of Our Lives (airing February 14th), but before that, you can catch me on The New Normal this Tuesday 1/22 at 9:30pm on NBC!
I’m playing Rayburn, a fun hairstylist, in scenes with Tony winner Ellen Barkin as Nana and the iconic and hilarious John Stamos guest starring as Brice. I can’t give away what the scene is about but it’s hysterical. However, the episode title “Gaydar” may give you a clue… Also guest starring in the episode is Mark Conseulos and in my scenes, the delightful Nikki McKenzie (she is one to watch people!)…. I also have to say it was just a pleasure to work on this set. Everyone was so nice and fun. It was also great to work with John Stamos again who I guest starred with on his show Jake in Progress several years ago.
For more on this episode and a special preview, head to TVLine here. And don’t forget to watch the ridiculously funny People’s Choice Award winning The New Normal this Tuesday.

Glee~ It’s a Britney Spears Sex Riot!

September 29, 2010

“It’s a Britney Spears sex riot!” That was just one of the brilliant one liners uttered by Emmy winner Jane Lynch as Sue Sylvester on a night where Glee let the zingers fly fast and furious (especially from Heather Morris’s Brittany) as the show celebrated pop phenom Britney Spears. It was a hilarious and entertaining hour that saw the glee clubbers have hallucinations while under dental anesthesia (administered by new guest star John Stamos lookin’ sexy as ever) where they sang Britney songs. While the storytelling was a bit scatter-shot and convoluted, the show was still incredibly fun and the musical numbers were great. We got the solo singing debut of Morris’s Brittany on “I’m a Slave 4 U”, plus Artie (Kevin McHale) doing “Stronger”, Rachel (Lea Michelle) offering up “Baby One More Time” and a duet from Santana (Naya Rivera) and Brittany on “Me Against the Music”. However, my favorite number was the entire Glee club’s rendition of “Toxic” that also featured Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison). It was a fantastic reworking of Spears’ Grammy winning hit. The star of the hour was clearly Morris whose amazing dancing skills were on display (can you believe she just missed making the top 20 on So You Think You Can Dance two season ago?) along with her vocals and laugh out line readings. Some of her best quotes from the night: “It looks like a big Jewish cloud…”, “wait, Finn can fly?”, “I’m more talented than all of you. I see that clearly now. It’s Brittany… bitch”. and on and on. We also learned her character has lived under Britney Spears shadow all her life because her real name is Brittany S. Pierce. BRILLIANT! … Ok, enough of me babbling. It’s time for you to enjoy some Brittany from last night’s Glee. Check out the full episode below, plus a few performance clips and Heather Morris performing with Beyonce (she was on tour with her prior to joining Glee).

Glee Gets John Stamos!

June 8, 2010

Today reports surfaced that Uncle Jessie himself, John Stamos, would be joining TV phenom Glee next season in the recurring role of Emma’s (Jayma Mays) dentist boyfriend. To this, I say, hooray! Stamos has the perfect combination of looks, charm, talent and musicality for this great musical comedy and will be a nice obstacle to the budding Emma and Will (Matthew Morrison) romance. Having worked with Stamos on the dearly departed comedy Jake in Progress, I can tell you what a great and genuine guy he is, not to mention a wonderful actor. I sure hope he gets to sing as well. The Full House and ER vet was recently seen on Broadway in the revival of Bye Bye Birdie and has also appeared on the boards as the emcee in the revival of Cabaret. Take a look at his musical theatre chops from Cabaret below and watch Glee tonight and next fall on Fox…. And if you scroll down further. Check out me and John in a scene from Jake in Progress…. hehe.
