My Big Bold SAG Award Winner Predictions

It’s time for some new predictions… And I have a real stake in these because I actually got to vote for them! I’m speaking, of course, of the SAG Awards that will air this Sunday on TNT. It’s all about the actors rewarding other actors and as a proud member of SAG for over a decade, I’m always thrilled to get to vote for my favorites. With that said, I’m not gonna spill who I voted for (you can send me a private email for that). However, I will give you my big predictions that should see some clear Oscar faves continue their winning streaks… Maybe there will be a surprise or two? Who knows, but let’s take a look at my crystal ball…

The PGA Nominations honor the Usual Suspects but still offer a couple of Surprises

The Producers Guild of America is the latest industry heavyweight to announce its nominations for the best of the year. The PGA honors 10 films in the Best Picture category and the front-runners The Artist, War Horse and The Descendants were all included, but so was the hilarious comedy Bridesmaids. Could this be a sleeper Oscar Best Picture nominee? I, for one, hope so…. Take a look at the full list below and the animation and the TV Movie/Miniseries categories as well. Watch for the winners to be announced on Jan. 21st.

This one is all about the actors… It’s time for my big bold SAG Award Nomination predictions. The nods will be announced tomorrow morning and I expect to hear a lot of names from The Help, The Descendants, Modern Family, Mildred Pierce and Breaking Bad.  And just who do I think will take home the most nods for an individual? I’m going with Melissa McCarthy who I say will grab two nods for Bridesmaids and one for Mike & Molly. Take a look at my picks below and check back here tomorrow for all the official nominees that are chosen by the actors themselves (including me~ a proud SAG member since 1998).

My Big Bold 2011 Emmy Winner Predictions

This Sunday Sept 18th is television’s big night, the Emmy Awards honoring the best on the tube in the past year. Emmy winner Jane Lynch (Glee) is up for another award this year and is our fearless host for the show that airs live at 8pm on the East coast (5pm for ya’ll on my side of the country). It should be a great show and we could see a wide variety of winners. However, I think the two big races will look like repeats from last year with Modern Family and Mad Men repeating in the Comedy and Drama categories… So, who else do I think will and should win? Take a look at my big bold perhaps clueless Emmy winner predictions below and watch the big show on Sunday night on Fox.
