Mika gets Wicked on “Popular Song”

Grammy nominated singer Mika released his brilliant third album The Origin of Love last week and I think it may be his best yet. While you’ve probably heard his current dance hit “Celebrate” with Pharrell Williams and seen the videos for “The Origin of Love” and rumored next single “Make You Happy”, you may not have heard one of the best and most fun tracks on the album, “Popular Song”. This bouncy fun track features added vocals by Priscilla Renea and samples the Broadway smash Wicked. Borrowing from one of the most popular songs of the show, “Popular”, Mika and Renea sing a song that is pure fantastic candy coated pop perfection. Mika‘s long awaited third album is about to drop in America as The Origin of Love hits stores and digital retailers on September 17th. The album’s first single “Celebrate” is already a big dance hit on our shores and now a new track has hit the web. The song, “Origin of Love” is a euphoric anthemic pop romp that is classic Mika and a new film/video for the single is also up on youtube. First Listen~ Adam Lambert “Better Than I Know Myself”

Grammy nominated American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert is ready for a big 2012. After outselling the winner of his season Kris Allen by a huge margin, gaining commerical and critical respect and headlining a hit worldtour, he’s readying his sophomore album, Trespassing, which is set to drop on March 20th and his new single just hit the web. The track entitled “Better Than I Know Myself” is a hot pop track co-written by Adam and hit maker Claude Kelly (Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears) and it’s likely to be a smash like his massive hit “Whataya Want from Me”. The song is available for download at all digital retailers and iTunes on Tuesday Dec. 20 and I have your first listen below.
