New Original Glee Music

In preparation for tonight’s new Glee episode featuring the return of Gwyneth Paltrow, it’s time for some Glee news! Today marked the release of the 5th Glee soundtrack, Glee: The Music, Volume 5, and for the first time it includes two new original songs along with the usual cover hits. The new tunes will be featured on the 3/15 episode when the gleeks head to regionals. The first song is a midtempo pop ballad called “Get it Right” that showcases Lea Michelle’s (Rachel) fantastic vocals while the second number is “Loser Like Me” a delightful pop confection the cast sings that was written and produced by Max Martin (the famous hitmaker for Britney, Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Backstreet Boys). They’re both pretty great and “Loser” has even been sent to Top 40 radio in attempt to get the show some airplay. Previously, only a few of their tracks (which sell like crazy) have garnered radio traction including “Teenage Dream”, “Don’t Stop Believin'” and “Forget You” featuring the aforementioned Paltrow… I’ve got your first listen to both new tracks below.
