General Hospital leads the Daytime Emmy Nominations

It was more of the same this morning as General Hospital lead the Daytime Emmy nominations with 21 mentions beating out the other perennial front-runner Young and the Restless with 20. Both shows will compete against last year’s winner  Bold and the Beautiful and the recently cancelled All My Children for top honors.     I’m glad james scott, chandler massey,melissia claire egan , billy miller , and laura wright were nominated in their respected catagories. Days of our lives deserved a drama series nod , lead actress (alison sweeney), and younger actress (molly burnett), but days is always snub, but next could be different ball game with only four soap operas left.
