The Charts: All Hail Adele… Again

I can’t remember a year when one artist who is so universally respected and admired also happened to be the biggest selling artist of the year. Well, this year it’s happening with Grammy winner Adele. I mean who doesn’t love her and her brilliant hit filled album, 21? She crosses age, gender and color lines with ease on this glorious collection and now she lands a 13th week on top of the Billboard Album Chart. The record has also sold over 4.1 million copies this year, more than twice the runner-up, Lady Gaga’s Born This Way (with 1.9 million). Congrats Adele! … So, who did she stop this week? Opening best were Christian singers Casting Crowns at # 2 followed by R & B crooner Joe at # 9 with their latest albums. For more on this chart, head to Billboard here and check out the new top ten below.
