Bruce proves he is The Boss Beating out Adele on the Charts

In an incredibly close battle, The Boss, aka Grammy Award winning Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer Bruce Springsteen, edged out our current pop queen, Adele, for the top of this week’s Billboard Album charts. Grabbing his 10th #1 album with his latest, Wrecking Ball, Bruce barely outsells Adele’s 21 by just over 1,000 copies. It’s a take down! … However, Adele could easily return to the top next week when Bruce and the new Brit Boy Band One Direction look to be her only competition. We shall see. Check out the new top ten below.

Over on the Hot 100 Singles Chart, fun. makes it two weeks in a row in a frame that saw lots of changes to the format of the official singles chart. Billboard will be adding more data from multiple streaming outlets to the regular sales and airplay formula. For more on this change head here. While that change helps Gotye make a big charge in the top ten, the rest of the list is much the same. We’ll see how it affects things in the weeks ahead. Check out the new list below.
