Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson Top the ACM Awards (yes, Kelly Clarkson!)

Tonight’s Academy of Country Music Awards honored several of the genres top stars like repeating Entertainer of the Year Taylor Swift. However, the show also welcomed a pop princess honoring Kelly Clarkson with two awards for her duet with Jason Aldean, “Don’t You Wanna Stay”. The beautiful ballad which hit # 1 on the Country charts and was a Pop, Hot AC and AC crossover smash has also sold over 2 million downloads, grabbed a Grammy nomination and won a CMA Award as well. That is one enduring hit…. Clarkson wasn’t the only former American Idol winner tonight either as last year’s winner Scotty McCreery won Best New Artist while former ACM winner Carrie Underwood opened the show with her new smash “Good Girl”. (Check out her sexy performance below)…. Other winners included Thompson Square, Lady Antebellum and husband and wife duo Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.
