“The Words” Tanks on a Terrible Weekend at the Box Office

This weekend marked the worst weekend at the box office of the year with only one major opener, The Words, which tanked big time with only $5 million. Looks like the Bradley Cooper drama will be another money loser for CBS films and give studios pause as to whether Cooper can really carry a film. We will see later this year with his Oscar bait film The Silver Linings Playbook co-starring Jennifer Lawrence which debuted to raves at the Toronto Film Festival a few days ago… Back to the Box Office, the horror film The Possession stayed on top with a low $9 million.
