My Short Film “the things i cannot change” comes to Los Angeles this Week!

After playing cities like Austin, TX and New York, NY, the first short film I co-produced and co-starred in, the things i cannot change, is coming home to Los Angeles. Our dramatic film will be playing the Reel Recovery Film Festival this Saturday October 27th at 3:30pm in the “Shorts on a Saturday Afternoon Program 2”. I am beyond thrilled and honored to be a part of this festival that focuses on addiction, alcoholism and recovery from those issues. It’s a perfect fit for our film as it explores addiction and how it affects two people picking up the pieces from a friend’s death by overdose.
the things i cannot change was written and directed by Chris Phillips who adapted the short from a scene in his GLAAD nominated play revolver. Phillips co-produces the film alongside myself and Cory Schneider who also stars in the film. things focuses on the lives of a recently deceased drug addict’s ex-lover Noah (Jason Boegh) and best friend Patrick (Cory Schneider) who unexpectedly collide for a heated confrontation. Old grievances are aired and blame is tossed about like a weapon as the two come to grips with losing the man they both loved…. things also features new music from the supremely talented singer/songwriter Michael Patrick Coughlin including his brilliant song composed for the film “Some Things”.

I hope you can come and see our little film that could. It’s a very personal film and one we are quite proud of. Take a look at all of the screening information below and head to the Reel Recovery Film Festival site here for more info and tickets. (We are also playing the Reel Recovery Film Festival in Fort Lauderdale next month if you are in Florida!)
Thanks so much!
Jason
