Jason Aldean Rides the “Train” to the Top

Country superstar Jason Aldean grabs his first # 1 Album on the Billboard 200 and his 3rd Country Album chart topper as his latest, Night Train, sells a big 409,000 copies in its debut. That’s the second biggest debut week this year behind Mumford & Sons and ahead of P!nk, Madonna and Justin Bieber. Aldean should relish his success because he and everyone else is bound to be trounced by Taylor Swift‘s new one next week… In the meantime, Aldean holds off debuts from Brandy, Scotty McCreery, and Jamey Johnson. Over on the Hot 100 Singles Chart, Maroon 5 makes it six weeks on top with “One More Night” keeping Psy at bay yet again. Will he ever make it to the top? It’s looking less and less likely especially with hot new tracks from Ke$ha, Rihanna and NeYo making serious gains… We’ll see.
