Bond Bows Big with “Skyfall”

James Bond certainly knows how to make an entrance. If you’ve seen any of the Bond films and especially the first big scene in the latest film in the series, Skyfall, you know that he always makes a splashy entrance. This weekend, Skyfall, did just the same pulling in a giant $88 million for the biggest opening in Bond history (beating Quantum of Solace‘s $68 million). The film should pull in strong numbers in the weeks ahead as audiences and critics are loving it. I give the film an “A” grade, and it’s even getting Oscar buzz… Skyfall easily trounced the competition despite Wreck It Ralph, Flight and Argo holding up well… For more on Skyfall’s bid debut and information on all the numbers, head to Box Office Mojo here.
