“Evil Dead” Kills at the Box Office

evil dThe remake of Evil Dead made a killing at the box office this weekend taking in $ 25 million and already recouping its production budget to debut at # 1. The film held off a decent holds for G.I. Joe Retaliation and The Croods and the 3D re-release of Jurassic Park which took in a nice $18.6 million. Overall the box office was down again from last year as the industry awaits the summer movie going surge starting extra early with Tom Cruise’s Oblivion at the end of this month.
